Forgiveness is for YOU

Forgiveness is for YOU

Psalm 139: 23-24: 23: Search me O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.  24: See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting

Unforgiveness is shown in many forms during our everyday lives, for instance when we get offended, it’s often because we are holding onto something that offended us and we aren’t able to let go and forgive that person or yourself.  When we don’t place forgiveness on someone it only hurts ourselves because we are the ones who are suffering.  Almost everything related to the unforgiveness we will be offended by, and that looks like being angry, anxious thoughts, etc.  Who does that hurt? Us. Whose energy does this consume? Us.  Whose time does it take away? Us.  Not anyone else but us.

We spend an enormous amount of energy being on guard all the time, and having a negative reaction whenever someone hits up against what someone says or does that is related to unforgiveness.

Imagine if our anxious thoughts were eliminated we’d see everyone with a pure heart and when people hurt us, because they will, we can immediately identify that hurt and excuse ourselves without being offended or engaging with our anxious thoughts.  That scenario paints so much peace and with the power of Jesus we can get there, he can lead me to that place of peace because he’s the Prince of Peace.

A situation where we are being offended or have anxious thoughts should be looked at as opportunities to identify that offense and believe that with the power of Jesus I can explore this offense, with the power of Jesus we have the spirit in us to be brave and face the offense and let God heal.

Exploring the why is a healing journey toward everlasting peace and unlocks blessings.
